The writing started with a plane crash. My first published book tells the imperfect love story of a former NATO F-15 pilot (later a test pilot) and the red-headed girl he took for an airplane ride. It’s about a promise.

My Young Adult Climate Fiction Trilogy is Complete!

The 2nd book in The Skye Van Bloem Trilogy was published in paperback and eBook in February 2020. Holding is a climate dystopia, so get ready for a harrowing journey with Skye and her friends. And yes, there is romance and adventure and a bit of mild sex. The first book in the trilogy, Countdown, touches on biodiversity importance, a theme that permeates everything in my life.
I’m a fierce protector of public lands and everything wild–even the ugly animals, who often end up being the most valuable members of an ecosystem. I write a bunch of letters to my elected officials; I sign loads of petitions; I organize rallies; I serve on many environmentally-based committees. I talk about the climate crisis. All. The. Time.
The last book in the trilogy, Launch, was published on November 7, 2020. It’s about political revolution, and it’s an interesting coincidence that Nov 7 was also the day the US election was called for Joe Biden. There is a violence content warning for Launch, since it is a young adult book. Check out the video book trailer on YouTube.
