General Guidelines follow:
- Open to all students of Kansas who will have graduated from 7th grade by the time camp starts.
- The scholarship is for Space 201 and only students who have not previously attended this level of camp are eligible.
- Science teachers from each school will nominate students according to criteria to be set by the individual school/teacher(s) such as a science fair, project, grades, classroom performance, or essay contest.
It is the family's hope that students with a strong interest in science/technology/space/aviation will be choosen (with a possible eye towards need).
- Students identified by the teachers will write a short 1/2 page essay about why they want to attend camp. The final winner will be choosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Cosmosphere.
- The full scholarship will cover room and board and all camp expenses. Transportation to the Cosmosphere is not included.
